My bespoke little animals, furniture and wall hangings are collectively known as ‘Trotters ‘n' Pooche'. Through the use of drawings, wire, textiles and stitch, I have created unique and individual pieces of work. Using my pets as my initial inspiration I have created a family of little dogs. New to my collection are pigs, sheep and other small animals; these are known as the ‘Trotters’. Each Trotter and Pooche has its own personality and identity, living in an imaginary and quirky world of textile and wire furniture!
Using her sewing machine as a pencil and fabric as the paint I have created quirky and unique designs. All my designs are created using found and new materials. Some of the textiles originate from the 1970's and 80's, whilst some of the haberdashery is much earlier. The eclectic mix of contemporary and vintage materials gives my designs a fresh and unique appearance. The quirky world of ‘Trotters 'n' Pooche' is constantly developing through my observational sketches and drawings. The collection is evolving with new and fresh designs, with personalised cards and pictures are a new and exciting development in my designs.

I love to create beautiful, functional objects and have done for most of my life in one form or another. My inspiration comes from many sources but those I look to most are nature and architecture. I live just south of Birmingham in the West Midlands with my partner Kate. The location gives me easy access to the countryside and some of the best architecture in Britain.
